Chaos breaks out during the Ligue1 match between Nice and Olympique Marseille, postponing the third day of the championship. Everything happens fifteen minutes from the end when Payet, OM midfielder, is targeted by some small objects, including a few bottles, at the moment of taking a corner kick.
The player, however, reacts and sends one back towards the stands: at that point the invasion of the field by the Nice ultras is triggered, which leads to a maxi brawl involving players and managers of both teams. The Nice fans are chasing the players of the opposing team, including Alvaro Gonzalez who provoked the opponent’s corner.
The match was suspended with the result of 1-0 in favor of the hosts. According to some sources, some Marseille players also reported injuries.
