Belluno, San Giorgio Sedico and Union Feltre continue to talk about the single team, but they discuss how to unify the three youth sectors
How to manage the youth teams in a possible merger? There is also this reasoning on the table of Belluno, San Giorgio Sedico and Union Feltre, whose top management are committed to the creation of a single company. Because the first team undoubtedly arouses greater interest in the public, especially if a formation with medium – high or even very high ranking ambitions should be set up.
But assembling and managing it is perhaps the least complicated thing. In fact, behind there are three nurseries to be joined together. And it certainly cannot be an easy and painless operation. On the other hand, numerically the accounts must return.
Let’s take for example only Belluno and Union Feltre, which in competitive activity usually count on two Elite and Experimental formations, respectively, both in the Allievi and in the Giovanissimi. In fact, eight teams in total, without even considering the possible addition of provincial associations outside the rankings. The merger would involve a reduction in half, with an Allievi and an Experimental team and the same in the Giovanissimi. And in all this it should not be forgotten that San Giorgio Sedico also has its own teams, albeit “only” at the regional level.
The pool of members would be reduced and it would be necessary to bring together a good number of young people in other companies, perhaps to help them complete the workforce. It is not necessarily a bad thing: being able to create a supply chain around competitive youth would make the entire movement grow.
Furthermore, the boys who would remain in the new reality could allow the creation of high-level formations in the respective category, thus helping to train the future players of the first team. But in an operation like this you always risk losing someone on the street or creating discontent.
A thousand questions to be addressed, to which the management of the coaches, the theme of sports fields where to train and play must be added… Dynamics that are not simple and on which there can be no uncertainties. It remains curious that only a few weeks ago Union Feltre presented its program linked to the nursery to the press, postponing only the announcement of technical staff already defined for later. And now everything can change. –
