Merger, there is a new entry among the candidates for the leadership: Ivan Da Riz takes a stake. But there is the youth dilemma

Ivan Da Riz

A new name for the merger, in management. Ivan Da Riz could find a place in the organization chart of the single company, which Belluno, San Giorgio Sedico and Union Feltre continue to work to form. The meetings are continuing at a good pace, as it is already mid-May. In any case, obstacles remain to be overcome, in particular as regards the structuring of the youth sector, especially in numerical terms.

THE RETURN OF IVAN?

Da Riz is a well-known figure and in fact linked to all three associations, in the more or less recent past. He played at the Feltrese, which later merged with Union Feltre merging with Union Ripa. In Belluno he was then called to play the role of deputy alongside Roberto Vecchiato, also passing through the managerial activity of sports director and head of the youth sector. He also led the first team in the final five matches of the 2017-2018 season, once coach Baldi was sacked. In the current tournament, however, he had started in Sedico, covering the role of deputy alongside Alessandro Ferro, until the exoneration and arrival of Tiozzo. In short, he enjoys widespread esteem and so his candidacy is quite strong. One could think of a role of general manager, or of head of the youth sector. There is no shortage of alternatives, having to build everything from scratch and wanting to give a very Belluno accent to the entire operation.

YOUTH DILEMMA

Clouds on the new youth sector instead. In fact, at the moment, the management of the nurseries would slow down the success of the agreement, as described in recent days. For example, Belluno and Union Feltre in competitive activity have both an Elite Allievi and an Experimental Allievi team, the same as for Giovanissimi Élite and Giovanissimi Sperimentali. Without forgetting the regional formations of San Giorgio Sedico. Forming a single club, there would therefore be only one Elite Allievi team, only one Experimental Allievi and so on. Which would mean having to reduce the number of members. And it is never a simple and nice operation, since it is a question of youth. Among other things, even where to train them is not easy to understand, because for someone accustomed to having Belluno as the nearest center, it is not the same thing to go to Feltre, and vice versa. It certainly seems that if it is merged, the basic activity will be maintained divided into the three fields. But we have to talk about it a lot, as evident.
