Mike Tyson perfects his abstinence regimen ahead of his fight with Jake Paul

Mike Tyson is pulling out all the stops in preparation for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul, as he reveals he has been abstaining from marijuana and sex as part of his training regimen. The former heavyweight champion, who is set to face Paul in Texas on July 20, shared the details of his disciplined lifestyle in recent interviews.

Tyson, 57, stated that he has not smoked marijuana for two and a half weeks and has refrained from sex for the same period. This commitment to discipline is key as Tyson gears up for what is sure to be a challenging fight.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which oversees combat sports in the state, has approved the upcoming fight with certain exemptions. The bout will last eight rounds, with two minutes per round, and both fighters will wear 397-gram gloves.

Tyson, known for his impressive career record of 50-6 with 44 knockout victories, last fought professionally in 2005. In 2020, he came out of retirement for an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr., which ended in a split draw.

In addition to his boxing career, Tyson has ventured into the cannabis business with his own brand, Tyson 2.0. The brand offers a variety of products, including gummies shaped like Evander Holyfieldā€™s bitten ear, a nod to their infamous 1997 fight. Tyson credits his wife, Lakiha Spicer, for the idea behind the products, which have proven to be successful in the market.

As Tyson continues to prepare for his fight against Paul, fans are eagerly anticipating his return to the ring and the spectacle that is sure to follow at AT&T Stadium.
