Milan, Ibrahimovic: “Thinking about retirement makes me panic” – Sport – Football

Milan, 22 March 2022 – At the age of 41 and despite a somewhat troubled season in terms of injuries (in which he still scored 8 goals in 22 appearances), Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not appear to be ready for retirement yet. Also confessing a certain fear in thinking about retirement was the same star of Milan from the withdrawal of Sweden with whom he is preparing to play against the Czech Republic, in the qualifying playoffs for the next World Cup: “I admit I feel a bit of panic if I think about the day of my retirement – reported the ANSA agency -. I will play for as long as possible, at least as long as I can bring home results without suffering. I don’t want to have regrets when I make that decision. I don’t know what I will do after the retirement. We’ll see if I still have a role in football. I could start over from that day, take a break or disappear from football. I will certainly not feel the adrenaline that I feel now ”. Ibra, with his irony, then continued: “The greatest sadness will be for you that you will no longer see me play. Have fun now because you will never see anything like this again ”.

Origin ever closer

In the coming months Ibra will sit at the table with Milan to discuss the future and the renewal of the contract which expires in June. The feeling is that the relationship between the parties can continue for at least another season, but in the meantime the Rossoneri club is looking around to shore up the attacking park in the summer with a point of value: the major suspect for a landing at Milanello seems to be Divock Origi, Belgian striker who will not renew his contract with Liverpool. The agreement between the player and Milan seems really close to a figure not far from 4 million per year. The track leading to Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo is more tortuous, who is valued by the neroverdi no less than 40 million and who has also been followed for some time by Inter and Juventus.
