Rudy Gobert, center of the Minnesota Timberwolves, won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award for the fourth time, equaling the record of the legendary Dikembe Mutombo and Ben Wallace.
Gobert, who previously received recognition in 2018, 2019 and 2021 with the Utah Jazz, has helped make the Timberwolves’ defense the best in the league this season, averaging 108.4 points allowed per 100 possessions.
