Also this year the Monte Altissimo Vertical Race will be staged in the competitive and rally format to give everyone the opportunity to participate; Athletes, sportsmen or simple walkers/ski mountaineers who want to spend an evening in company are invited. The ASD P3rsonal is repeating the event which last year saw 153 participants in the Competitive (112 SkiAlp and 41 Ramponcini) and around 150 participants in the non-competitive, for a total of over 300 participants.
An uphill only route, it includes a 4km length with 720m D+ which from 960m of the Ogne school camp leads up to 1680m of the Monte Altissimo refuge.
In the 2023 edition, the SkiAlp Race won: Giovanni Zamboni with a time of 32’40”, followed by Alex Rigo and Sambrizzi Davide. In the women’s category, Corinna Ghirardi’s success is worth mentioning in 41’15” ahead of the Italian Silvia Berra and Barbara Sangalli. In the competition with Ramponcini, Marco Malgarida (33′:35”) and Cristina Filippini (42’11”) won instead.
For the competitive version there will be a ranking dedicated to the SkiAlp category and one to the Racing with Ramponcini category. Meeting point and bib collection from 4pm to 7.30pm at Adventure Land Borno. Departure set at 8.00 pm from the nearby “Campetti” in Ogne.
The non-competitive ascent with skis, snowshoes or crampons will be possible from 5.00 pm onwards, with a free start always from the “Campetti” of Borno, in the Ogne area. Pasta party and musical entertainment are planned from 7.00 pm for all those registered upon arrival at the Monte Altissimo refuge.
