Valentino Rossi’s # 46 will be withdrawn forever from the MotoGP World Championship in a ceremony that will take place at the Mugello circuit, on the occasion of the Italian GP, in the presence of nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi. The MotoGp announces it, informing that the event will take place on Saturday 28 May on the main straight, just before qualifying.
Rossi, he remembers, raced with number 46 in 26 successful seasons «creating one of the most recognizable business cards in global sport». The ‘Doctor’ has won nine world championships, achieving 115 wins and 235 podiums in all classes. Retired at the end of the 2021 season, he was inducted into the Valencia MotoGP ™ Legends Hall of Fame and his number will now join him as a spectator.
