First half
The first half comes out played at a low pace and with little emotion. Roma are all in a counterattack orchestrated by Camara and Solbakken, with Belotti, however, seeing his right plate rejected without fail. Bologna tries to play the game, but gets to shoot on two occasions with Orsolini and Dominguez, who don’t particularly worry Svilar. In the second half, the theme of the match did not change: Roma gathered on their own trocar and the rossoblù played the match with more conviction, once the cheering lights up after the first half of silence as a sign of mourning for the disappearance of a representative of the groups of the curve.
The recovery
Ferguson tries from afar, but Svilar is there. Mourinho then changes and puts in some heavy caliber to win the game: Abraham, Bove and Mancini inside and Bove nearly scores three minutes after his entry, but fails to impact the Zalewski cross, with Sosa who then anticipates Abraham in front of goal. Monza beat Napoli 2-0 in a match of the 35th day of Serie A (see Saturday’s games), held at the U-Power Stadium in the Brianza city. Goals by Dany Mota in the 18th minute and Petagna in the 53rd minute decided the match in favor of the hosts. In the standings, the Azzurri, already mathematically champions of Italy, lead with 83 points, while Monza are eighth with 49 points.
First half
At the start, the guests are immediately dangerous. As soon as they move the ball from midfield, the Italian champions are close to scoring, with the pocket for Zielinski who shoots just wide from an excellent position. Dany Mota answered the Polish midfielder, primed by Carlos Augusto, but the former Juventus player found a deflection from Juan Jesus. In the 18th minute it was Palladino’s men who passed, with an action on the counterattack very similar to the many collected by Napoli during the season: right movements, precise passes and perfect maneuver before the Portuguese’s winning tap-in on Pessina’s assist. In the end of the first fraction Anguissa goes close to equal but Di Gregorio says no.
Second half
Spalletti leaves Zerbin in the dressing room at the interval and sends Kvaratskhelia onto the field. But it is Monza that still finds the way to the net with Petagna. The former Azzurri rediscovered a personal joy that had been missing for almost three months and after a so-so rejection by Gollini following a Dany Mota shot, he overtook Juan Jesus and with a left footed shot he made it 2-0 in the 8th minute. Around the hour of the game Spalletti decides to change and sends Raspadori, Politano and Di Lorenzo onto the field at once, switching to a 4-2-3-1. A move which, however, does not bear the desired results, because Napoli continues to attack, even hitting the post with Olivera on the set-piece developments, but this time remains dry.
Fiorentina-Udinese 2-0
Fiorentina defeated Udinese 2-0 in a match of the 35th day of Serie A, played at the ‘Artemio Franchi’ stadium in Florence. Goals by Castrovilli in the 7th minute and Bonaventura in the 90th minute decided the game in favor of the hosts. In the standings, the Viola are eighth together with Turin and Monza at 49 points, while the Friulians are eleventh together with Bologna with 46 points.
Verona-Turin
Turin clears Betegodi, climbs eighth solo for now in the standings, and continues to dream of Europe. Big trouble for Hellas Verona, joined by Spezia in full relegation zone. The match was decided by Vlasic’s goal in the 25th minute of the first half: powerful and precise conclusion on which Montipò can do nothing. In the second half, Hellas had to leave many players on the bench due to injury. Turin has at least three goals but does not close the match. It doesn’t matter, the score won’t change anymore.
