Two days of work in the renewed Valbelluna area. Fabrinetti: “Our structure suitable for top athletes”
The freeski blues are preparing the Olympic season in Nevegal. Yesterday and Monday on the Colle were two days of great intensity for ski tightrope walkers.
Headquarters the renewed area of Valbelluna Freeski, the young reality that is one of the reference points of the discipline in Italy and which sees two athletes wearing the blue: Emanuel Canal and Filippo Levis: here is everything you need for preparation ” dry “tricks” to be proposed on the snow: from the skate ramp to the trampolines, from the underground trampoline to the “dry slope”, the track in plastic material on which you can ski.
Fabrinetti’s pride
“We are proud to have had the Azzurri guests in our area,” says Mattia Fabrinetti, president of Valbelluna Freeski. «Our structure is well suited to the needs of high-level athletes but, at the same time, it is also ideal for beginners. In recent months we have managed to renew it thanks to a call from the Municipality of Belluno, which allowed us to receive a grant of fifty per center of the value of the new skate ramp, and to the support of various companies such as Giesse gestion sinistri, Awions by Alfawater, Unifrco, Geo Nord Est gas and light and Aba Logistica e Trasporti ».
In addition to being the president of Valbelluna Freeski, Fabrinetti is also the coordinator of the Italian youth activity and a few weeks ago he was included in the blue bracket.
“I’m very lucky,” explains Mattia again. “In fact, I joined a group that I already knew and with which we work very well”.
The satisfaction of Miari Fulcis
Together with Fabrinetti, the other “soul” of Valbelluna Freeski is Damiano Miari Fulcis, who has been an Italian coach for years.
“Last year there was a meeting of the B national team, this year we were able to bring the A team too and it is a source of great satisfaction for us,” he comments. «On Monday a programmatic meeting took place in the morning at Nogherazza, while the afternoon was dedicated to an athletic session in Nevegal, with the athletic trainer Leonardo Pegoretti. Yesterday, however, the athletes were busy with acrobatic work on trampolines and on the rail.
After this two days, other gatherings could take place in the course of the summer ».
Valentino Mori’s point
In Nevegal was also present Valentino Mori, the trainer responsible for the blue freeski.
«Structures like this and the activity that Valbelluna Freeski is carrying out are fundamental for the growth of our discipline», says the Trentino technician. «The Nevegal meeting is the first meeting in which all the teams meet together, after last season it was problematic to do so due to the health emergency. This season is an Olympic year and we need to anticipate the preparation times. At the moment, based on the world ranking, we have two qualifiers for the Games: experts Ralph Welponer and Silvia Bertagna, both in their thirties. The hope is to be able to qualify another or – why not? – two other athletes. It will not be easy at all but we will try. Just as we try to make the movement grow, bringing together a greater number of young and very young people ».
