French Swimming Federation Ensures Successful Olympics After Flower Swimming Test Event
The French Swimming Federation has announced that the flower swimming test event held in Paris was satisfactory and any problems encountered have been resolved to ensure a smooth and successful Olympic Games in 2024.
Sioubini, the CEO of the French Swimming Federation and organizer of the 2024 FINA Synchronized Swimming World Cup Paris, shared in an interview with Xinhua News Agency reporters that feedback from the test event was positive. According to Sioubini, solutions have been found for any issues that arose during the competition, and efforts are being made to further improve the organization and operation for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
“The results of the test match were satisfactory, and we have received positive feedback on the competition venue from participants. Any problems that were identified have been addressed, including issues with the venue’s lighting, water temperature, and underwater sound system,” said Sioubini.
One particular incident during the test event involved a malfunction in the underwater sound system, causing a temporary interruption in the competition. Sioubini assured that measures are being taken to ensure such issues do not occur during the Olympics, including improvements to the sound system and increased oversight to prevent human errors.
The competition venue, the Olympic Aquatics Center, is a newly constructed sustainable facility for the Paris Olympics. Located near a subway station and in close proximity to the Stade de France, efforts are being made to streamline the entry and exit process for spectators to ensure a convenient experience.
As part of the focus on sustainability, the Olympic Aquatics Center features a low-carbon design with bio-based materials and photovoltaic panels covering the roof. The venue will host Olympic test events for water polo and diving in the coming months.
With just over two months remaining until the Paris Olympics, the French Swimming Federation is committed to addressing any remaining challenges to ensure a successful and memorable sporting event for athletes and spectators alike.
