Despite the defeat of his Pelicans in the sprint against the Thunder, Zion Williamson prefers to look at the glass half full.
The former Duke winger is excited to finally be able to play really important games.
“A challenge like this is an example of competitiveness. I’ve always said: these games are fun to play. Tonight we didn’t get the result we wanted, but games like this, when I think about the playoffs… The matches are heart-pounding, the teams give everything they have and whoever remains most disciplined wins. So, I’m excited about this time. As I said after the Detroit game, we just have to deal with the situation game by game.”
After the ASG break, Zion and his teammates have the third best net rating in the League (+8.5, 3rd in defense and 10th in attack).
During the same period, Williamson scored 23.4 points (58% FG, 76% FT) with 6.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
