Pink and purple uniform: Germany and Adidas for Euro 2024

The German Football Association (Dfb) and sponsor Adidas reacted with an ironic and dynamic video to the flood of criticism which on social media accompanied the announcement, made last week, that the national football team at the next European Championships will no longer wear a white shirt as per tradition but predominantly cyclamen-pink. The video, with a fast pace, makes champions of the national team and an old glory like Rudi Völler react in an ironic way to the criticisms that have been circulating since the first rumors about the color of the new shirt, blue on the belly but “pink” in the upper part, the most visible one : «No one wants this shirt», it is «for women» and «it is not a Germany shirt». To these statements, in closing, the midfielder Florian Wirtz replies “Yes, it is”. «I think so», also says Völler, the 1990 world champion striker (and Roma’s for five years), denying the assertion that the new one is not a “shirt for football legends”.
