Sandro Munari, the Dragon of the sixties and seventies rallies, has been hospitalized since Wednesday in serious condition. His wife Flavia announced it in the Facebook group dedicated to the Munari-Mannucci crew, warning the fans and friends of the 81-year-old former rally driver. Munari is hospitalized for “ab ingestis” pneumonia, that is due to food that has entered the respiratory system, and for a urinary infection. It was Flavia herself who denied the rumors that had circulated in the afternoon that they wanted Munari affected by Covid: «Sandro has not and has never had Covid, he is vaccinated with three doses like all of us. As always in his life, he is fighting like a lion », his words.

Cavarzere’s affection and all Italian rally racing immediately arrived on the Munari family, which has its own lighthouse in the Drago: the best wishes came from the former Lancia sporting director Cesare Fiorio and from hundreds of fans.
