The Treviso derby could return in the next northern round of the A2 women’s team: nothing to do with the old one between Pagnossin and Plastilegno in the 70s-80s, we are talking about Ponzano Basket and the Zanotto Nuova Pallacanestro Treviso of coach Silvia Martinello, series B. The latter, after having narrowly missed the promotion on the field (beat Rovigo by 9 instead of 13), has forwarded a request to take over the rights of Sarcedo, a club in demobilization. The answer will come next week, after the Fip has examined every request (it seems that Cagliari has offered 50 thousand euros). In the meantime, Ponzano yesterday announced his new foreigner: from Tereza Zitkova, a Czech guard, we pass to the Dutch center Richelle Van Der Keijl. Born in 1993, 196 cm, Richelle has excellent physicality but also a good shot from medium distance. Stopped for a year due to injury but fully recovered, dynamic athlete, she adapts to a fast game also thanks to her vision of the game which makes her a great passer and a point of reference throughout the field for her teammates. Richelle chose America for her growth, wearing the Wright State and New Mexico Ncaa College tank tops, with which she managed to earn 14 points and 10 rebounds per game. Numbers that have made her end up in the crosshairs of the Dutch national team, of which she has been wearing the jersey for several seasons, and also of several European clubs: in Prague in 2019 11 points and 7 carom. Also worth mentioning is the confirmation of Viviana Giordano (who becomes captain), the passage of Francesca Leonardi to Crema and that of Alessia Egwoh to Bolzano.
