PORDENONE. A complicated 2021 for Pordenone has ended. And its captain is perfectly aware of this. However, Mirko Stefani wants to look ahead and leave these twelve months behind. The defender thinks about 2022 and aims salvation in Serie B: it would be the third in a row for the club and for him. A difficult goal, of course, but still achievable. And that on a personal level it would have a particular meaning: “It would be the perfect closure of my path in neroverde”, he reveals. «It is so. A complicated period in our history comes to an end. It is true that, in the first part of 2021, we were saved: the joy of having crossed the finish line covered the fears we had previously experienced. It should also be said, however, that these negative emotions have not been felt for a long time. Now we put this first part of the season behind us. It is useless to deny it: we expected more points ».

“Every club has to deal with the budget. And self-sustainability also passes through certain operations. “Yes, it would be ideal to close the circle. I would feel completely satisfied with what I would have done here over the years and would go to complete my career in style. In addition to myself, I would care for the club and the youth sector, which has over 400 boys and girls ».

“True, but it is something that I overshadow. I don’t care, because I care more about the aspect linked to the life of the club, the meaning that it would have remained in Serie B for another year. We need to start 2022 in the best possible way: the first races will be decisive because they can give us great enthusiasm. We have to believe it ».
