The man told the Carabinieri that he tried to stop his girlfriend but failed. It was then Capasso himself who called for help.

The investigations are coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Potenza, so the enrollment of the fiancé in the register of suspects for instigating suicide is “a due act“to allow investigators to carry out a series of investigations and the suspect to appoint a partisan expert, who will participate in theautopsy which will be performed tomorrow morning at the San Carlo hospital in Potenza.

The facts

The woman fell from a height of over ten meters. The family: “We rule out suicide, truth”

The family di Dora immediately ruled out suicide, asking for “the truth”. Through the lawyer Revinaldo Lagreca, the family members in fact highlighted that “there was no symptomatology that could suggest a suicide”.

The mayor: “Impossible that it could have happened”

Giuseppe Rinaldi, mayor of Montesano sulla Maricani also shares the same idea: “It seems very strange to us that Dora could have made an extreme gesture, deciding to end it all”. The Mayor is firm on the point: “It is impossible that could have happened. Even the family lawyer agrees, and so does the community. Those who know her well know that Dora was a sunny, cheerful girl, full of life and projects. Before going to see her boyfriend on Friday, she was at her family’s house, talking to an aunt about a cousin’s wedding next week. Nothing foreshadowed this tragedy. I personally knew Dora and her family, we are also related by kinship, we live not far away. The suicide hypothesis is not convincing “.

But there are still many i question marks. “What may have happened we do not know – added Rinaldi -, but we hope that we can shed light as soon as possible on what really happened. Living in this uncertainty is a double torment for the family”. The mayor confessed that he does not know the fiancé of the young woman, even though “sometimes he had come to the village”.
