Federmotonautica has approved a special regulation for the longest river race in the world, with a total of 414 km. «The commission was cautious – underlines Poma – it decided that the fast categories and therefore considered dangerous should be excluded. We have instead opened to pleasure boats, so we expect many members. A Formula Two hull will also participate, which must be followed by the personal helicopter, having the safety capsule. Two class Three offshore from the Boretto Po team have also signed up, also with helicopter in tow. The F2 hull can reach 200 km / h and the offshore reaches around 160 km / h. Even perfectly restored racers are fast as they are often used in demonstrations ».
Rankings and Montelera award
In addition to the general and category rankings, the «Teo Rossi di Montelera» award was confirmed, for the boat that from Revere will arrive, after 55 km, in Pontelagoscuro and in that stretch will have reached the highest speed.
«We are also satisfied with the response of the pilots – continues Poma – if we think that in the last edition of the Raid, ten years ago, 36 boats participated and that today we have already exceeded 50 members. However, we still expect the participation of pleasure boats and jet skis, because there is time. Among the members there are also five inflatable boats made available by Federmotonautica, hired by the pilots, investing only the cost of gasoline, as they will be taken directly to Amp, with collection of the vehicles in Brondolo.
