Real Madrid are not showing any weaknesses at Osasuna

As of: March 16, 2024 11:38 p.m

At CA Osasuna, Real Madrid are leaving nothing to be desired in La Liga with Antonio Rüdiger and Toni Kroos. Because pursuers Girona stumbled in Getafe, the “Royal” extended their lead in the table to ten points.

On the way to the 36th Spanish football championship, Real won comfortably on Saturday (March 16, 2024) with 4:2 (2:1) in the Estadio El Sadar in Pamplona.

The goals were scored twice by Vinícius Júnior (4th and 64th minutes), Dani Carvajal (18th) and Brahim Díaz (61st). Ante Budimir (7th) and Iker Muñoz (90th + 1) scored for the hosts.

Kroos and Rüdiger were there from the start

The German national players Toni Kroos and Antonio Rüdiger were in the starting line-up for the “Royal”. Kroos was substituted for Lucas Vazquez with just under a quarter of an hour to go.

Rüdger started the 4-1 with a long ball through Vinicius Junior – but also involuntarily headed in for Osasuna’s second goal.

Girona concedes defeat

Behind Real, FC Girona is in danger of losing its second place. With a goal from Yellu (34th), the surprise team of the season lost 0-1 (0-1) at Getafe FC. After their fourth defeat in their last six games, Girona are now ten points behind leaders Real Madrid with 62 points.

On Sunday, FC Barcelona could move past Girona into second place with a win in the top game at Atletico Madrid (9 p.m.). Athletic Bilbao will also be looking forward to this game. The Basques (56 points) pushed Atletico Madrid (55) out of fourth place with a 2-0 (2-0) win against CD Alaves, at least for the time being. Guruzueta (32nd, 37th) scored the goals for Bilbao with a brace before the break.
