by admin

Romano Fogli, coach of Treviso between 1990 and 1991, passed away yesterday at the age of 83 in his native Santa Maria a Monte, in the province of Pisa. After an excellent career as a midfielder with the jerseys of Turin, Bologna (with which he won the Scudetto in ’64), Milan (with whom he won the European Cup and the Intercontinental Cup in ’69), Catania and the national team Italian, Romano Fogli mainly trained in Serie C1, which he won in 1981 at the helm of Reggiana. Among others, the coach sat on the benches of Bologna, Foggia, Livorno, Siena and Lanerossi Vicenza, as well as being Giovanni Trapattoni’s deputy at Fiorentina. He arrived at Treviso, then in C2, replacing Alberto Cavasin in 1990 with the aim of salvation, only to be sacked a few months later in favor of Gianni Bortoletto. A.D.
