In the end, a hundred certificates of thanks were delivered. In the presence, among others, of the honorable Francesca Bonomo, the regional councilor Mauro Fava, the regional president of the Red Cross Vittorio Ferrero and the national councilor Antonino Calvano, the new means and equipment were inaugurated that will allow the Castellamontese Committee to be maintained, which has 200 volunteers and a dozen employees, always at the forefront and available to the needs of citizens.

«A year and a half ago a” war “began which has not yet ended – said the mayor, Pasquale Mazza-. Without you and without the help of the other associations that have supported, endured and kept us on our feet in the terrible days of the health emergency, we would never have made it. You have been an example and we must all continue to work together ». «Today is a day of celebration to say thank you – underlined the president of the city CRI, Garnerone-. This is because the CRI of Castellamonte, like those of the whole world, has been able to stay on its feet in these difficult months thanks to people like you. I refer to the people who spontaneously passed by the office and brought us a cake, pizza, fresh bread, 4 masks, two oxygen cylinders. Thanks to all the men and women dressed in red who are in this room today. Thanks to them we managed to do everything possible not to leave anyone alone ».

The new Fiat Panda 4×4 donated in memory of Pietro Pollino was officially presented, the bariatric stretcher, used for the transport of obese patients, the only one in Canavese and which will also be available to the other Committees in case of need, dedicated to the memory of volunteer Renata Delaurenti and the new banner of the Committee in memory of the volunteer Pier Luigi Presbitero Bracco. The Fiat Tipo, already operational, however, was symbolically named after all the volunteers to thank them for their generous commitment. Finally, the association “A gift for Castellamonte” and the photographer Claudio Marino handed over 2 thousand 500 euros of the proceeds from the exhibition “Looks – 100 portraits to stop a time” to the local Cri Committee.
