Rugby Belluno is the first party after the long stop

The derby goes to Belluno. Alessio Dal Pont’s team managed to establish itself on the alpagoto team at the end of a well-played game in all departments, especially in the scrum. Gigi Liguori’s Alpago did not give up, but it weighs a few too many errors in the management of the ball and some individual choices that are not very appropriate. In the end, the result rightly rewards the Gialloblù team who have shown that they know how to be incisive at the right time, crushing the yellow-green players on several occasions in their own half. The guests did not give up to counterattack but the second goal suffered cut off their legs.

In the opening bars the two teams face each other in midfield but at 14 ‘comes the most dangerous attack of the yellow and blue who in several phases force Alpago to defend themselves near the goal line; providential Facchin sweeping out. At 30 ‘the visiting team would have the opportunity to unlock the score thanks to a placement granted for a foul by the team from Belluno. From the pitch, located 35 meters on the left, Bartoluzzi does not hit the posts.

In the final stages the game ignites. First the Gialloblù go in goal with Bernardi, able to play a throw-in at the foot and cut diagonally to crush. The transformation fails to Damiano Sacchet. Before the break Alvise Bortoluzzi shortens the distance with a free kick, granted for a hand in the ruck, and converted by the right wing at a distance of about 32 meters.

In the second half, at 5-3, the home XV immediately crushes the opponents who have to defend themselves in nine attack phases. The hosts round up further to 55 ‘with Cuzzuol who, taking advantage of a yellow-green transmission error, serves Longo on the right, who flies away at full speed and crushes under the goalposts. Damiano Sacchet’s transformation is easy. De Polo and his companions are on good guard in the face of guest attacks.

At 75 ‘comes the goal that puts an end to the game. From a scrum of Belluno near the goalposts, Cuzzuol recovers the ball, stretches in speed and places the ball centrally. Also on this occasion it is easy for Damiano Sacchet to convert and fix the score at 19-3.

Belluno and Alpago will return to the field on October 31st. The Gialloblù will be involved in a difficult match in Villorba, but for Alpago there will be an opportunity for redemption, as they will have to contend with the Oderzo in front of their fans.
