The challenge on Wednesday therefore becomes decisive to establish who between Italy and Wales will play the final for first place against the first of group A. Ten changes compared to the fifteenth seen on the first day, with Pani and Cuminetti confirmed among the trocar, captain Vintcent, Ortombina and Frangini among the forwards. In the second half of the game the script does not change, with the Azzurrini easily controlling the game thanks to discipline and advancing defense. The many changes made by both sides do not allow the two teams to find the necessary continuity in the offensive phase, combined with some technical errors too many from the Scottish side. On the other hand, the excellent work of the forwards continues, capable of regularly winning kicks and touches from excellent positions, albeit with less precision in execution than in the first forty minutes. At 65 ‘, Pani’s foot sent the Azzurrini inside the 5 opponents, the maul closed by the new entry Scramoncin takes care of the rest once again. The transformation of Teneggi allows Italy to get at a safe distance on 22-7, extinguishing any ambitions on the Scottish side. The lack of discipline in Scotland allows the Azzurri to further expand their advantage, just to change from the maul. This time it is Cenedese who puts another five points on the farm, before Teneggi completes the work on the foot.
