Salernitana changes coach for the fourth time this season

Salernitana announces the dismissal of coach Fabio Liverani and the hiring of Stefano Colantuono as the fourth coach of the season. Liverani, who took over after the departure of Filippo Inzaghi, struggled to turn the team’s fortunes around with only 1 draw and 4 losses in his 5 games in charge.

Colantuono, a familiar face who previously led the team in two separate periods, has been tasked with the challenging job of helping Salernitana avoid relegation. The team currently sits at the bottom of the Serie A table, 11 points away from safety with only 2 wins to their name this season.

With time running out in the campaign, Salernitana will be hoping that Colantuono can inspire a turnaround and secure their top-flight status for the next season. The club expressed gratitude to Liverani for his efforts and wished him the best in his future endeavors.
