by admin

Edimes wins the second win in a row at PalaRavizza and climbs positions in the upper floors of the group

PAVIA

Edimes Sanmaurense conquers the second consecutive victory, conquering, within the friendly walls of PalaRavizza, Corsico with a score of 80-61. A burst of triples (17 total) and a great third period (23-13) lead the boys of coach Fossati to an important victory in terms of the standings: Edimes rises to 12, momentarily hooking Cerro Maggiore (today engaged against the unbeaten leaders Robbio) in second place, also shared by Legnano who yesterday submerged Sedriano. Performers of the match Biraghi (23 points), Infanti (19) and Pagetti (12), while the 17 of Moalli are not enough for the guests.

Corsico ranks in the zone from 1 ‘. Edimes finds good offensive solutions with Infanti and Biraghi, even if Dampha is inspired (7 points in a row) in the 4 ‘is 8-7 for the hosts. Infanti and Poggi strike from long distance, Fornari and Vitelli respond with the same coin and the Milanese, thanks also to the first two points of the leader Moalli, move forward for the first time in the match, forcing coach Fossati to timeout (14-17 to 7 ‘). In the final quarter, the bombs of Roppo and Pagetti bring the red and white back into the lead (20-19 at 10 ‘). The Sanmaurense diligently returns to attack the area and finds an Infanti version mvp: three consecutive triples of the red and white number 31 bring the hosts up to 30-21 in the 14th minute. Corsico, however, reacts immediately with an 8-0 counterbreak by Moalli, Anelli and Casciano (30-29 at 17 ‘), but the hosts realize a new break by Biraghi and Pagetti to close the first half at +4 (40- 36 to 20 ‘).

Fluid attack

Upon returning to the field, the Edimes attack is rather fluid (bombs by Biraghi and a Pagetti in great dusting), the defense (in the area) is careful and the advantage increases considerably up to +16 with another basket from beyond the arc by Poggi (58-42 to 27 ‘). Again Biraghi with yet another triple of the day pushes his team to the maximum advantage (63-44), then Dampha shortens at the end of the third fraction (63-49 at 30 ‘). The hosts remain on track and still punish an opposing defense that does not find solutions against the offensive verve of the red and white (72-52 in the 35th minute). The guests do not give up and make up for it with Moalli’s baskets, but in the final Sanmaurense closes the accounts. –
