Scotti off Alba but loses D’Alessandro Vigevano presses on S. Miniato, first place in the game

Season over for the pivot wing, Pavia hires the expert Quarters. Elachem alone in 2nd place with the victory over Omegna

Riso Scotti beats Alba widely, detaches her in the standings, mortgaging fifth place and keeping alive the hope of snatching fourth position from Legnano, but loses for the rest of the season Lollo D’Alessandro, versatile pivot winger born in 1996: he will replace him in organic Daniele Quartieri, play guard: today or tomorrow the official presentation. D’Alessandro got a dislocation in his shoulder on Saturday that should keep him still for at least four weeks, before starting physiotherapy and recovery, so his season can be considered closed, while the play Gennaro Sorrentino is struggling with a knee that does not allow him to train and so the Pavesi presented themselves at PalaRavizza for the direct clash against Alba with many problems. The field, however, swept away doubtful tensions on the eve: Scotti who immediately took the lead and never gave up on the lead. Accuracy in attack, aggressive defense and pressure on the ball carrier allowed coach Ducarello’s men to close the match already at half-time, after a second quarter of 30–11. The Sicilian coach from Pavia Pavese then gave ample space to the young Rajcevic and Birra. It is clear, however, that Pavia cannot go on without two key pawns and for this reason it ran for cover by signing the expert Quarters, former Bernareggio play guard who in the season travels at 36% from three points, 45% from two and 84% to free.

Vigevano second by itself

In the other Easter match, Elachem Vigevano beat PalaBasletta Omegna in the match between runners-up, remaining in the wake of the leaders San Miniato, who conquered Florence and suffered 2 points ahead. Vigevano is therefore preparing in the best possible way for a season finale that promises to be incandescent: the yellow and blue will meet San Miniato away on the last day of the regular season. Elachem overturned the inertia of the match in the second period and placed the decisive extension in the fourth, after a third interlocutory fraction. High positive note for the team of coach Paolo Piazza the debut of Luigi Cianci, who arrived this week from Giulianova, and who is distinguished as the best rebounder of the match with 9 balls collected under the retina. Now Vigevano is preparing for the final run-up to conquer the best play off placement. The Gialloblu will face Livorno, Cecina and, as mentioned, San Miniato in the order of Libertars. –
