The Shenzhen Longgang National Chess Masters Competition “Harmony” Wind is Blowing Strongly

China Sports News, Shenzhen, March 5th – The fifth round of the 5th Shenzhen Longgang Chess Masters took place at the Shenzhen Longgang Training Base of the Chinese National Chess Team on March 5th. The theme of “peace” was evident during the matches as all 4 games ended in a draw.

Chinese chess player Yu Yangyi and Indian chess player Elijahs, both at the top of the standings, faced off in a cautious match. With neither player willing to take risks, the game ended in a draw after just 25 rounds in the Sicilian defense.

Meanwhile, two Russian chess players, Dubov and Ademeev, had a balanced match that ended in a draw after 31 rounds. The highly rated Dutch chess player Giri faced off against Chinese player Xu Xiangyu, resulting in a draw after 30 rounds.

In a fierce battle between two Chinese players, Bu Xiangzhi and Ma Qun, the game ended in a draw after 43 rounds. Bu Xiangzhi managed to save the day after a miscalculation in the middle game.

Following the first five rounds, Bu Xiangzhi, Yu Yangyi, and Erigaisi are leading the standings with 3.5 points each, while Russian player Dubov is in fourth place with 3 points.

The competition continues to be intense as players strive for victory in the Shenzhen Longgang National Chess Masters Competition.
