Dragon’s Dogma 2 Will Run at Uncapped Frame Rate, but Still Targeting 30 FPS
The highly anticipated Dragon’s Dogma 2 is set to be released on March 22, and fans of the RPG genre have been eagerly awaiting the sequel since the first game was launched back in 2012. With the upcoming release, new details about the game have emerged, including information about the frame rate.
According to an interview with director Hideaki Itsuno by Game Informer, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will run at an uncapped frame rate. However, despite this, the game is aiming for around 30 frames per second. Itsuno explained, “The game’s framerate is uncapped. We’re aiming for around 30 FPS or higher. This also applies to consoles. You can turn certain features on and off, but you can’t change multiple sets of options at once. But, yes, frame rates will be uncapped for all consoles.”
While some players may be disappointed that the frame rate is not higher, Itsuno’s statement suggests that the game will still run smoothly and provide an enjoyable gaming experience. The ability to adjust certain features may also provide some flexibility for players to customize their gameplay experience.
Despite the focus on frame rate, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is expected to be a highly engaging and immersive game that will captivate fans of the series. Whether or not frame rate is a critical factor for players, the overall gameplay and story are likely to be the main attractions of the upcoming sequel.
