This is not a simple sports story, but an almost visceral love for volleyball seasoned with a healthy dose of determination. Ingredients that allow you to overcome any obstacle. Recipe that 33-year-old, originally from Godega di Sant’Urbano, Silvia Biasi, who is free of the Italian Paralympic national sitting volleyball team, knows well and who wanted to put pen to paper in her first book (“I just wanted to play volleyball”, published by Ediciclo publisher and written jointly with the help of the illustrious pen of Antonella Stelitano, journalist from Treviso and new winner of the 58th edition of the Bancarella Sport Award) whose proceeds will be entirely donated to Energy Family Project APS, a Roman association that helps and supports families who they face problems of agenesis, amputation and congenital malformations of the limbs. Biography presented to the public on Thursday evening at the Hotel del Parco by Loris in Pieve di Soligo, in the presence of the authors, by Ruggero Vilnai, president of the Italian Paralympic Committee, Mario Sanson, Coni delegate, Michele De Conti, president of Federvolley Treviso-Belluno and Francesca Bosio, his teammate.

“For me it was a very important step to write this book through which I want to be close to people who have certain problems, and help them to get out of a tunnel of negativity”, explains Silvia Biasi, who lost her right forearm at 5 years of age. due to a domestic accident, “it was a race against time since with Antonella (Stelitano, ed) the idea was born only in March with the aim of going out before the Olympics”. The life, the introspection of a girl who was able to draw from her own particularity and love for volleyball, the stimuli to try to always improve, playing from an early age with the able-bodied thanks to a prosthesis, until the call in 2017 in national sitting volleyball team. An immediately profitable climb for Silvia, in the role of Libero, and her companions, able to reach fourth place in the 2018 world competition and continental silver the following year.
