The heads of the Associazione Memoria Storica Torresina Aps and of the Popular Sports Library have given the executives of the Asd Cuglieri 1952 the suits and the racing bags

SASSARI. Solidarity runs on the football fields: today, as a concrete gesture of closeness following the fires that devastated the Montiferru in the summer months, the managers of the Torresina Aps Historical Memory Association and the Sassari Popular Sports Library have handed over to the managers of the ‘Asd Cuglieri 1952 suits and racing bags. This is the final act of an initiative born last summer with the collection of funds that had activated a project in the social field to bring about the rebirth of the local sports team and youth teams through targeted support. At the beginning of September the first load of material purchased by Sassari sports enthusiasts had been delivered: balls, obstacles, Chinese players, bags, poles, doors and other equipment. The contribution assigned in recent weeks by Ussi Sardegna, which has joined the project, has allowed the two Sassari non-profit entities to make a further purchase.

So Andrea Sini, journalist from New Sardinia and director of the Popular Sports Library, handed over to Antonio Motzo, representing the yellow-green management, the shirts on which the logo of the Torresina Historical Memory association is also reproduced.

Cuglieri will debut on Sunday in the Third category championship, while at the youth level over forty boys have been registered, who will take part in the various category championships. The initiative was supported by members and supporters of the Torresina Historical Memory association, frequenters of the Popular Sports Library, by the board of the Peña Leones Italianos, a club of supporters of the Basque team of Athletic Bilbao and by the board of Ussi Sardegna.
