Spain opened the Nations League record with a brilliant victory in the final against France (2-0). The team led by Montse Tomé paved the way to success with a goal from Aitana Bonmatí, who was chosen as the best soccer player of the match after completing a new exhibition in the direction of the game.
Before each of the members of the Spanish team collected the Gold medal that accredits them as champions of the Nations League and captain Irene Paredes lifted the precious trophy, Aitana Bonmatí received the award that distinguished her as the most valuable player in the final.
The person in charge of presenting her with the trophy was the president of UEFA, Aleksander Ceferin, who received the Barça midfielder with great effusiveness. So much so that he almost emulated the former president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, when he presented the Gold medal to Jennifer Hermoso after winning the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Ceferín was going to give Aitana two kisses but he had flashbacks to Vietnam of Rubiales being celebrated internationally and he skidded that even in drifting, I’m in tears. pic.twitter.com/9E2URSIY7s

Not to the point of exceeding the line that Rubiales crossed, but Ceferin threatened to give Aitana two kisses on both cheeks. The president of UEFA stopped and the effusiveness ended in a loving hug that he did not even complete, while he addressed him a few words of congratulations.
The memory of everything that happened in the final of the last World Cup in Australia and New Zealand must have gone through Ceferin’s head, who avoided any contact that could have posed a problem.
