Stadium capacity increases to 75% stadiums to 60%

Another true step is the return to normality for sport and fans of the various disciplines. The Council of Ministers unanimously gave the green light to the decree that brings stadium capacity to 75% (from the current 50%) and to 60% in sports halls (from the current 35%). The numbers are valid for the white zone regions and include the green pass for access to the facilities: the new legislation will come into force on Monday.

After the stop for the commitments of the national teams, Udinese-Bologna will be played at the Friuli stadium, and just under 19,000 spectators will be able to sit at the Rizzi stadium, out of a maximum capacity of 25,312. Similar figures have not been reached since February 2020: after the closed doors of the 2019/20 season finale, there were 1,000 spectators for a few weeks in September 2020, then closed doors again until the end of the 2020/21 season. The 2021/22 championship opened with 50% of the public, now the “gap” is widening. Udinese welcomes with satisfaction the passage to 75% of the public and underlines that the club «has sensitized the use of the green pass in digital form by investing in technological supports and latest generation tablets able to quickly scan the certifications making the progress of the fans fluid ».

At the Allianz Trieste they were the first to smell a favorable wind, launching the season ticket campaign for 1,000 spectators. The Julian sports hall, which at full capacity can accommodate 6,943 fans, with the passage to 60% of capacity can accommodate 4,165 fans. In Serie B the Gesteco Cividale is satisfied to be able to open to 1,740 spectators (out of 2,900 total seats) at PalaGesteco from the match against Olginate scheduled for Saturday 23 October.
