CUCCARO. The video message of Ancelotti, Del Bosque and Ranieri, three of his illustrious predecessors, accompanied the award ceremony to Stefano Pioli of the Liedholm Prize. The Milan trainer has received Cuccaro the award assigned every year (except in 2020, due to a pandemic) to those who in the world of football follow the values of loyalty and FairPlay dear to the Swedish baron.

The event at Villa Boemia was opened by the president of the Liedholm association, Fabio Bellinaso, and by the grandson of the unforgettable Swedish coach, Paolo Liedholm, to whom Pioli donated Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s 11th shirt.
Then Nicola Roggero, a journalist for Sky, introduced Pioli, who in his career has coached various teams (almost all of the Via Emilia, as a good Parma player), but has always spent a few years in individual clubs: now at Milan his adventure seems to be able to be lasting. His first words: “It is an honor and a pride to receive this recognition, I have always appreciated Liedholm’s elegance and passion for football.”
