Chinese U17 Women’s Team Qualifies Second in Group at Asian Cup
In the final match of Group B of the 2024 Indonesia U17 Women’s Asian Cup held on the 13th, the Chinese team lost to the Japanese team 0:4 and entered the knockout round as second in the group.
Both teams won two consecutive games in the first two group matches and qualified early. The Japanese team ranked first in the group with a goal difference advantage.
The Japanese team broke the deadlock in the ninth minute. Momo Sato hit the post in front of the goal, and Nomi Fukushima scored with a supplementary shot. In the second half of the game, Kana Kikuchi, who came on as a substitute, scored twice in counterattacks.
