Summer 2021 Covid: the rules for the sea. Free beaches and distance between umbrellas

To dictate the rules, for the moment, is theOrdinance on guidelines for the resumption of economic and social activities, published on the website of Ministry of Health, which incorporates the guidelines for the resumption of the economic and social activities of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. So let’s see in detail what the rules will be in force at big, in beach and in accommodation facilities, even outdoors such as camping.




ā–Ŗ Prepare an adequate one information on the prevention measures to be respected, understandable also for customers of other nationalities. ā–Ŗ Reorganize the spaces, to guarantee access to the establishment in an orderly manner, in order to avoid gatherings of people and to ensure the maintenance of at least 1 meter of separation between users, with the exception of people who, according to the provisions in force, are not subject to interpersonal distancing; this last aspect relates to individual responsibility. If possible organize separate paths for entry and exit.
ā–Ŗ Promote, as far as possible, the expansion of shaded areas to prevent gatherings, especially during the hottest hours.
ā–Ŗ Ensure a distance between the umbrellas (or other shading systems) in order to guarantee a surface of at least 10 m2 for each umbrella, regardless of the way the beach is set up (for horizontal or rhombus rows).
ā–Ŗ A distance of at least 1 m must be guaranteed between the beach equipment (sun loungers, deck chairs), when not positioned in the umbrella place.
ā–Ŗ Regular and frequent cleaning and disinfection of common areas, changing rooms, cabins, showers, toilets, etc., however ensured after the closure of the plant.
ā–Ŗ Equipment such as sunbeds, deck chairs and umbrellas must be disinfected at every change of person or family unit, and in any case at the end of the day.
ā–Ŗ Group play-sporting activities are prohibited which can give rise to gatherings.
ā–Ŗ Individual sports that usually take place on the beach (eg rackets) or in the water (eg swimming, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing) can be practiced in compliance with interpersonal distancing measures. Otherwise, for team sports (eg beach volleyball, beach soccer) it will be necessary to comply with the provisions of the competent institutions. There is no shortage of precise directives also regarding the free beaches, also in these contexts the importance of information is reaffirmed, for example through the preparation of special signs showing all the information useful for maintaining interpersonal distancing and preventing gatherings, and individual responsibility on the part of patrons on the adoption of respectful behavior of the prevention measures, with particular reference, as reported above, to maintaining the distance and al ban on gathering. In this regard, it is suggested to post information signs and / or to delimit spaces (for example, with stickers to be attached to the floor, balls, route marking tapes, etc.).
ā–Ŗ Interpersonal distancing does not apply to members of the same family group or cohabitants, nor to persons occupying the same room o the same room for overnight stays, nor to people who, according to the provisions in force, are not subject to interpersonal distancing (the latter aspect refers to individual responsibility).
ā–Ŗ The station dedicated to the reception and the cashier can be equipped with physical barriers (eg screens); alternatively, the staff must wear the mask. ā–Ŗ The use of elevators must be such as to allow respect for interpersonal distance, even with the mask, providing for possible exceptions in the case of members of the same family, cohabitants and people who occupy the same room or the same environment for overnight stays, and for people who according to the provisions in force, they are not subject to distancing. The maximum number of people that can be transported must be defined and communicated with specific signs.
ā–Ŗ Ensure frequent cleaning and disinfection of all environments and premises, with particular attention to common areas and surfaces touched most frequently (handrails, light switches, elevator buttons, door and window handles, etc.).
ā–Ŗ It is mandatory to keep open, unless weather conditions or other situations of necessity do not allow it, doors, windows and windows in order to favor the natural air exchange in the internal environments. Due to the overcrowding and the time spent by the occupants, the effectiveness of the systems must be verified in order to guarantee the adequacy of the external air flow according to the regulations in force. In any case, the crowding must be correlated to the actual flow rates of outside air. For air conditioning systems, it is mandatory, if technically possible, to totally exclude the air recirculation function. In any case, the measures for the natural air exchange and / or through the system, and the cleaning of the recirculating air filters must be guaranteed with the system stopped to maintain adequate filtration / removal levels. If technically possible, the filtering capacity of the recirculation must be increased, replacing the existing filters with higher class filters, guaranteeing the maintenance of the flow rates. In the toilets the air extractor must be kept in continuous operation.

ā–Ŗ Users and workers must properly wear the mask to protect the airways, indoors and outdoors in accordance with current regulations.

ā–Ŗ The intervention of maintenance personnel / employees in the apartments in the presence of the guests must be carried out in such a way as to guarantee the social distancing of at least 1 meter.
