Despite being an outsider, the Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl. It is uncertain whether Travis Kelce can be cheered on by his girlfriend Taylor Swift there. In the second game, the favorite won – the last remaining German lost a 17-point lead.
The Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl again. The defending champions in the National Football League (NFL) won 17:10 at the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. In Baltimore, Chiefs professional Travis Kelce showed his best game of the season. The friend of pop superstar Taylor Swift scored the first touchdown of the hard-fought game and caught a total of eleven passes for 116 yards.
After reaching the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce shared a public kiss with Taylor Swift. At the award ceremony in Baltimore, he made his girlfriend laugh with a short singing performance; Swift had previously watched and cheered the Chiefs’ moves excitedly from the box. But while Kelce will certainly be in the gambling metropolis on February 11th and wants to win the third title in five years against the San Francisco 49ers, pop superstar Swift’s visit is unclear – she has a concert in Tokyo a good 24 hours before the game starts in the calendar.

“It’s been a great year, we’re not done yet,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. “We were the underdogs in the last two games. But we never feel like an outsider.”
Mahomes won the duel with Lamar Jackson from the Ravens. In addition to his touchdown pass, Mahomes had throws for a total of 241 yards, Jackson also finished the game with a touchdown and passes for a total of 272 yards – but also an interception and a bad pass. The Chiefs are now in the Super Bowl for the fourth time in the last five years. A win on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas would be the team’s second straight title, third in the past five years and fourth in team history. The Ravens haven’t been to the Super Bowl since winning in February 2013.

Jackson provided a highlight in the offensively better first half when he caught his own pass attempt that had previously been deflected by a Chiefs defender. The preliminary decision was a scene in the final quarter when Ravens professional Zay Flowers had the ball knocked out of his arms just before the end zone and the Chiefs gained possession of the ball without conceding any points.
Flowers scored the hosts’ only touchdown in the first half and had a strong, but ultimately unfortunate, game. The Chiefs, for their part, were also unable to capitalize on the next attack, but got the ball back a second time with an intercepted pass.
49ers overcome 17-point deficit in second half
Against the Detroit Lions led by German-American pass receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, the San Francisco 49ers turned around a 17-point second-half deficit in the second game on Sunday. They won 34:31.
In Las Vegas on February 11th there will be a repeat of the Super Bowl from four years ago. In Miami, the Chiefs prevailed 31:20 and won their first title with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. For the 49ers it is the first participation since the loss against Kansas City and the first with Brock Purdy as quarterback.
For the St. Brown Lions, a strong season ended in dramatic fashion. In California, the Lions dominated the first half, the hosts seemed at a loss. But the Lions lost the thread in the third quarter. Josh Reynolds dropped good passes twice. Probably the decisive scene of the game was a long pass from 49ers quarterback Purdy immediately before the second touchdown. Lions defender Kindle Vildor almost intercepted the pass but hit his helmet. From there it jumped into the air and Brandon Aiyuk caught it 51 yards short of the end zone.
