Jannik Sinner is taking part in this clay court tournament for the fourth time. Since his debut in 2021 (second round), the South Tyrolean has steadily improved – through the quarter-finals in 2022 to the semi-finals twelve months ago. It would make sense if the 22-year-old made it to the final this year. The second-seeded Italian is definitely one of the big favorites and had a bye in the first round.

This tournament is repeatedly located in Monaco, although strictly speaking the event does not take place in the principality. The name goes back to the Monte-Carlo Country Club, but its facility is located in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. And this municipality is located on French territory. The flair of the Côte d’Azur and the view of the Mediterranean are of course also present here.
