As expected, Sebastian Ofner moved into the top 40 in the ATP rankings for the first time after reaching the semi-finals in Hong Kong. The 27-year-old Styrian appears to be in 37th place before the Australian Open, which begins on Sunday; he started the new year in 43rd place.

Dominic Thiem also gained four places and is now number 94 as the second best Austrian. At the top everything is as usual: Novak Djokovic (SRB) leads with 11,005 points, a whopping 2,200 points ahead of Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) and another 1,300 ahead of Daniil Medvedev ( RUSS).

Swiatek remains number one
