The WTA Miami Station is in full swing. The 16-year-old Linda Fruvertova won three consecutive WTA 1000 competitions in her first WTA 1000 competition. She also became the youngest player to reach the top 16 of Miami Station after 2004. At that time Sharapova and Glovin also reached the fourth round here at the age of 16.
Before Miami, Linda had never played against a TOP50 player, and the only time she beat a TOP100 player was in Charleston last year, beating No.59 Kone (the latter retired in the final set). She eliminated No.66 Kovinic, No.24 Mertens and No.16 Azarenka successively this week, constantly refreshing her best win record.
Next, the Czech star will meet for the first time with the TOP10 players and compete with Bardoza for the quarter-finals.
