Southeast Net News, May 15th (Correspondent Huang Jian) On the morning of May 14th, “Come to Fujian, go to Ninghua, start on the Long March road and then ride on the red land and take the Long March road again” 2023 Fujian Provincial Cycling League (Ninghua Station) and the launching ceremony of China Tourism Ninghua sub-venue was held in Ninghua County, Sanming. The competition attracted more than 800 cycling enthusiasts from 35 cycling teams from all over the country.
The tourism day event set up a branch point in Huaitu, and a live broadcast connection was carried out at the opening ceremony, allowing athletes and tourists to deeply feel the strong cultural and tourism atmosphere of Ninghua. Ninghua is the farthest starting point of the Long March. It is located at 116°36′58″ east longitude. With a red flag printed with this longitude mark floating in the sky above the event, the on-site personnel witnessed the appearance of the farthest starting point of the Long March. Opening After the ceremony, the riding tour experience group took the lead to experience the joy of riding. At 9 o’clock, with the whistle of the referee, the men’s youth group competition began. The contestants rushed out of the starting point like arrows off the string, striving to forward.
The competition route is 9.3 kilometers long, starting from the Long March Spiritual Education Base in Ninghua County, passing through Ninghua landmarks such as the Ci’en Tower and Funing Bridge. The track has straight lines, curves and short slopes, and players can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ninghua City while participating in the competition.

On the same day, a children’s balance car competition was also held, and more than 180 cute babies experienced the joy of sports on the balance car track. During the event, Ninghua County also held activities such as water curtain show, light show and Hakka snack tasting, allowing athletes and tourists to taste Hakka food and enjoy the beauty of Hakka.
Ninghua is the core area of the Central Soviet Area, the starting point of the Long March of the Central Red Army, the base of the unfailing red flag, and an important practice site of the great man’s revolution. It is understood that Ninghua County has held five consecutive “Riding the Red Land to Retake the Long March Road” bicycle race, successfully hosted the province’s youth badminton championship, Hakka martial arts competition and other events, focusing on the integration of sports and tourism, and attaching great importance to brand events build. Relying on the rich red culture and Hakka culture, Ninghua deeply explores the “sports +” integrated development model, and “red + tourism + sports” has become another new model for Ninghua to promote and create a red, Hakka, and ecological business card.
