Concern that was also felt, for example, at the Flavio Avetta memorial, one of the most important squares competition in the Canavese area, which took place between Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 January, inside the bowls of San Giorgio Canavese, Chivasso, San Benigno, Strambino, Salassa and Rivara. In the two days of competition 328 players (82 teams) from all over northern Italy fought and gave a show, a number which, however, up to three years ago was much higher, given that the participating teams were always around one hundred and five- one hundred and ten, as the secretary of the Sangiorgese bowling club, organizer of the event, Mario Binando also explains: “Unfortunately, Covid-19 has also limited our activity, which however we always want to carry on with the utmost precautions for the health of all people – explains Binando -. To access the bowls it is essential to have a reinforced Green pass and a correctly worn Ffp2 type mask – explains Binando -. In addition, the gyms can have a capacity not exceeding 60% of the total number of people who normally crowd the structure, each player can always and only touch their own bowls, each club must then have two sticks to mark the position of the bowls once done the bet and the same number of dots, given that in a match, the ball is touched by whoever wins the hand and it is not always the same team – comments Binando -. People and players are very respectful of the regulations, we want to move forward. After the Flavio Avetta memorial, on Sunday 30 January, we will organize the Bertino Memorial, always a squared competition, where it will always be essential to guarantee safety for everyone ».

The Serie A championships will start on Saturday 22nd January, the hope is that over time safety will increase more and more and we can have fun again as in the past in attending a match ». –
