New jersey and new adventure for Francesco Lamanna, 19, a talented Ivrea defender who lived a summer characterized by the exclusion of his latest club, Novara, from the professional championships, due to tax defaults. Unattached, like all his teammates, Francesco found himself at the center of a jumble of rumors that saw him matched with Serie A teams (Sampdoria and Salernitana) and the cadet championship (Perugia and Cremonese). In the end, Gubbio won, an Umbrian club that plays in group B of Lega Pro, the same category in which Francesco played last season with Novara, with 17 appearances in the league and one in the Italian Cup. From the Juventus school, where he has played since he was 11, he made it up to the Under19, then went on loan to the same age as Cremonese and made his debut last year among the professionals with the Novara jersey. His experience in the national team, both Under 17 and Under 18, was also significant, also wearing the captain’s armband at the European and World Championships.
