After the success at the Benacus Rally a week ago, the Erreffe Rally Team once again climbs to the top step of the podium. Land of conquest is the Ligurian hinterland where the Rally della Lanterna was held thanks to the Volkswagen Polo R5 brought to the race by Giacomo Scattolon. Car at the top as always for the team from Castelnuovo Scrivia and driver from Voghera who appeared in great shape: «I knew the race because apart from one test, I had run the others in 2020 and knowing where to dare and when, unquestionably, helps. It was not an easy rally because the opponents fought until the end and with the gaps that were there it was easy to throw everything away – said the overall winner -. In the end, however, it went well this way; winning at the Lanterna is always satisfying because the tests are beautiful and complete with descent, guided and fast ».
The Erreffe party continued with Andrea Spataro’s third position at the wheel of the Skoda Fabia R5 Evo. Igor Raffo (Skoda Fabia R5 Evo) also did very well, but a spin prevented him from fighting to the end for the podium (he closed 6th overall). With a Renault Clio Super 1600 prepared by Agostino Roda’s team he made his rally debut Pier Basso, a driver who after several years on the track decided to make the leap into road racing: unfortunately a puncture immediately forced him out of the race. struggle for the class ranking
