SAN GIORGIO CANAVESE
Second day of the basketball promotion championship where both sides from Canavese played away in group C. Victory for the Golden River San Giorgio in Leini; defeat of Ivrea’s Eporedia Bricks in Bussoleno. The Golden River goes on to win at the Falcone di Leini with a score of 63-80. A good performance for Mattia Ferraris’ quintet who managed to play well starting from the second quarter after a bad start.
The team then proved to be very attentive in defense putting the Leinicesi in difficulty. The sangiorgesi then put the match down when they moved on to lead and the margin increased considerably to put the success on ice already at the end of the third quarter with a large double-digit advantage.
Bitter sweet away for the boys of Eporedia Bricks who, in the presence of a square Bussoleno and with superior category individuals, faces the second defeat (91-70) out of as many races in a championship that is proving to be very competitive. The good news is that the team has always fought, closing the first quarter ahead thanks to a balanced attack and an excellent defense. In the second quarter, the Ivrea players were jammed in attack, while the hosts targeted the retina with monstrous percentages of three, 13 out of 17 in total, creating a groove that could no longer be filled, but still fighting until the siren. We have seen good shots of basketball that bode well for the continuation of the championship.
The ranking: Rosta, Unisport, Polisportiva Reba, Bussoleno, B&B Barra 4 points, Golden River, Condove, VictoriaTorino 2, Basket Nole, Basket Leini, Giaveno basket, Eporedia Bricks 0. –
