To understand that there is a great desire for skiing, just look at what happened in Lombardy. The region has launched an initiative dedicated to under 16s: until December 24, children will be able to ski for free in the Lombard ski resorts. In addition to the free ski pass, the proposal of the Association of ski instructors of Lombardy and of the Collegio Maestri has been added: the possibility of buying a voucher at 5 euros per hour for a maximum of two hours of lessons with the instructor. Result: the vouchers were sold out in two days.

“After last year’s closures due to the Covid emergency – said Antonio Rossi, former Olympian and regional undersecretary for Sports, 2026 Olympics and major events – today the mountains have the desire and energy to restart, also exploiting the opportunities that derive from measures like this Ā». In a moment like this, promotions and offers are caught on the fly. Even the Aosta Valley station of Pila has put on the track a very attractive proposal for this start of the season: the Open Ski Day to be held on Sunday 12 December. For the occasion it will be possible to spend an entire day of skiing, complete with all services, at half the price list. In practice: overnight stay in hotel with breakfast, private and group ski lessons, daily skipass and equipment rental in partner shops, all with a 50% reduction. And even the nature guides will apply the same discount for walks with snowshoes. In addition, the restaurants and bars on the slopes participating in the initiative will offer the ā€œskier’s menuā€ for lunch at a special price.

Still with regard to ski lessons, at Monte Bondone, in Trentino, there is another very interesting promotion until Christmas: the Cristallo Ski and Snowboard Instructors offer 60% discount on the ski or snowboard course and the rental of the free equipment. And if for someone it is already time for a white week, by Christmas the prices are advantageous. In Cervinia you can spend 7 nights in a hotel with 6 days of ski pass included and a free day of vacation. Prices start at ā‚¬ 688.

From the Matterhorn to the Dolomites. In Trentino, at Lagoroi-Passo Brocon, until 24 December you can take advantage of the “Low-cost weeks”: starting from 195 euros for 5 nights in a hotel and 5 days of skipass. In all Dolomiti Superski ski areas until December 22, one day of vacation is free if you book at least 4 days.

Snow packages on offer until Christmas Eve also in Valchiavenna, where 2 days with accommodation and skipass for the Madesimo slopes start at 154 euros. For the traditional Immaculate Conception holiday, by booking a stay in a hotel in Pontedilegno-Tonale, you have a 25% discount on the 3 to 5-day ski pass.

There is no shortage of appointments that offer ad hoc packages, starting with the Immaculate Conception. For young people there are two events that combine snow, music and fun (always in compliance with anti-Covid regulations). In Cervinia the YouSnow team from 8 to 12 December organized the “Camp della Madonna” dedicated to snowboarders who will be able to test the equipment for free: 2 nights in a hotel with a 229 euro ski pass. Snowweek is back on the Trentino snows of Marilleva, the highlight for kids: until 8 December 5 days of snow and 4 nights of music and fun starting from 179 euros.
