The predecessor of the World Women’s Volleyball League is the World Women’s Volleyball Grand Prix. Founded in 1993, the event is the largest, highest-level and most influential women’s volleyball annual commercial competition held by the FIVB. In 2018, the FIVB upgraded it to the World Women’s Volleyball League. Nanjing, China hosted the 2018 and 2019 World Women’s Volleyball League Finals. The 2022 National Women’s Volleyball League Finals will be held in Anrak, Turkey, which is the first time Turkey has hosted the finals of the event. Last year, the event was held in Rimini, Italy, in a closed environment. This year’s event has returned to the system of scoring first and then playing the finals. The FIVB also updated the new teams participating in the World Women’s Volleyball League this year. The Bulgarian women’s volleyball team replaced the Russian women’s volleyball team. The 16 participating teams were divided into two groups with 8 teams in each group, and participated in a total of 6 sub-stations in three weeks. The venues for the races are the United States, Turkey, the Philippines, Brazil, Bulgaria and Canada. The competition will be officially opened on May 31 this year. The new Chinese women’s volleyball team will compete in Ankara, Turkey, Pasay, Philippines and Sofia, Bulgaria. In the first week of the competition, the Chinese team will be in Ankara in turn. Play against the Netherlands, Turkey, Italy and Thailand.

Recently, the new Chinese women’s volleyball team held a training camp in Ningbo. After a month and a half of training, 55 people finally participated in the physical fitness test. Subsequently, the Chinese women’s volleyball team will be officially released. Earlier, Cai Bin, the head coach of the Chinese women’s volleyball team, said in an interview that the team’s main task and goal this year is to win the championship at the Hangzhou Asian Games and strive for good results in the women’s volleyball world championships. As the first international competition for the new national team to participate in, the Chinese girls will complete the task of running in the lineup and establishing a new core in the World Women’s Volleyball League.

It is worth mentioning that in the early morning of April 6, Zhu Ting, the captain of the Chinese women’s volleyball team, updated her personal social media and posted photos of the rehabilitation group. This is the first time Zhu Ting has personally proved to the outside world that she has completed the right wrist surgery and entered the rehabilitation stage. Since last year’s Olympic Games, Zhu Ting’s injury has become the focus of many fans. Judging from the current situation, it will take at least half a year or even a year for the absolute main force of the Chinese women’s volleyball team to fully recover from the wrist injury. The possibility of returning to the national team in the short term is very small, and he can return to the team in the first half of next year. It is fortunate to have helped the Chinese women’s volleyball team compete for tickets to the Paris Olympics.
