The first weekend of competitions for the Eca Slalom Junior Cup took place with the two tests held in Valstagna, Vicenza, on the classic course of the Brenta river.

The Eca Slalom Junior Cup circuit includes a dozen races in Europe, distributed in the summer period, reserved for the youth categories, with a final ranking based on the best five placings. On the first day of competitions in Valstagna, Saturday 11 June, three hundred and forty young competitors from all over Europe but also from Australia, New Zealand and the United States battled on the Brenta River in the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 categories , Under 18 and Under 23 on a challenging twenty-one goal course. In the final well in the C1 Under 18 where Simone Marchegiano is in sixth place, Francesca Bufo is second in the K1 Under 12 women, third place for Margherita Alberto, fourth Vittoria Cuignon, in the C1 Under 18 women second place for Cecilia Marchegiano.

On the second day, Sunday 12 June, the result conquered by Simone Marchegiano, C1 Under 18, was of particular importance. best time of the day ahead of his rival, Marino Spagnol.
