At 19.32 Japanese time (12.32 Italian time) Norah Milanesi finished ahead of her battery (the five) in the 50 freestyle with 26.41 seconds. The 18-year-old from Pavia who grew up on the Campus competed with the colors of Cameroon. In his battery were Mikaili Charlemagne (Santa Lucia, 26.99); Cheyenne Rova (Fiji, 27.11), Enkhkhuslen Batbayar (Mongolia, 27.29), Tilka Paljk (Zambia, 27.34), Samantha Roberts (Antigua and Barbuda, 27.63), Bisma Khan (Pakistan, 27.78) and Unilez Takyi (Ghana, 27.85).
Currently the world record is 23.67 of the Swedish Sarah Sjoestroem while the Olympic record is in the hands of Emma McKeon, Australia (24.02).
