French Badminton Open advances to the top 16

The Paris Olympic badminton test event and the French Badminton Open kicked off on March 5, with the national badminton men’s doubles pair Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi securing a spot in the top 16 after defeating the Chinese Taipei pair Zhang Keqi/Bai Liwei 2-1. The veteran duo, with an average age of 30 and 28 respectively, are aiming to qualify for the Paris Olympics and their performance at the French Open is crucial in their journey.
Ou Xuanyi expressed his excitement and nervousness at standing on the Olympic venue, highlighting the significance of the event. With the deadline for Olympic points competition approaching, the duo is determined to give their all in every match to secure their qualification. Currently ranked seventh in Olympic points, Liu and Ou know they cannot afford to let their guard down.
The match against Zhang Keqi/Bai Liwei was a tough battle for Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi, with the Chinese Taipei pair putting up a strong fight.
