The breath of fresh air outside the playout area lasted less than 24 hours for the 2001 Garlasco Volleyball, which on Friday evening had conquered the Bologna palaDozza in three sets, beating Geetit in a direct match with virtually no return. On Saturday afternoon, in fact, in the last recovery that was still missing, ViviBanca Torino won a comeback in Portomaggiore at the tie break with Sa.Ma. after losing the first two sets. With this result, the Turin team overtakes Garlasco, who is currently fourth from bottom.

The season ended today, the boys trained by coach Vittorio Bertini would be forced to compete for the stay in the men’s A3 series in a playout series against Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano. Just against the Cuneo team, in two weeks, Garlasco is expected from the delicate direct clash at palaRavizza, in the heart of the last month of the regular season which opens next Sunday with the away match to Belluno, in which it will be very important to score points. This will be followed by the direct home clash with Savigliano, which precedes two difficult away matches in a row, in Portomaggiore and Montecchio Maggiore, before concluding this phase with the match at palaRavizza against the rear Brugherio.

At the moment, Volley 2001 Garlasco has an advantage over both ViviBanca Torino, which is higher in the standings, and compared to Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano, which is minus 1: compared to both captain Crusca and his teammates they have two more victories, successes who would play in their favor in the event of a tied final finish.

The next will be a fundamental round with Savigliano receiving Fano and Torino who will be in Bologna, before having to face Pordenone, Macerata San Donà and Savigliano on the last day. –
